this would be educational if they showed how to clean the fish :)

Ernie has some kind of nice relations with the fishes.

"Hey ol' buddy Bert, you know, if you said a Hail Mary everytime, I bet you'd catch a fish!""Okay! Ehehehehehe...Hail Mary full of grace, blessed art thou among women, blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus--" *BLAM!*

Well, a shark is....sort of....a fish. Right? All be it....a big, toothy, potentially dangerous fish.

I'm guessing that's because Frank Oz did the voice of both of those characters, as well as some others.

i was like 3 when i saw this, and i thought it was hilarious. and i'd never gone fishing before but i knew a fish call wouldn't work.

Well they say Sesame Street is an educational show but what's educational about this skit? I bet after watching this a lot of kids went to the river or lake and yelled "Here fishy fishy fishy"until they lost their voices. and when no fishes showed up they said "Damn you Sesame Street you lied to me, you made me look like a fool!"

Now that I think about it, Bert was probably always to Ernie's left because of the extra room needed for the additional muppeteer working Ernie's right hand.** Lightbulb **
