So how did Angkor mysteriously disappear?It was the size of modern LA, a masterpiece of civil engineering. Forests were stripped and rivers removed to make way for temples, palaces and markets. Then, in a development that has long perplexed archaeologists, Angkor suddenly vanished. Now a recent study by the University of Sydney is re-examining Angkor using radar remote-sensing data from NASA. As archaeologist Damien Evans explains, the team's findings give a stark warning to Cambodia's corrupt and greedy rulers, and to modern societies worldwide. I would appreciate it if you change the name of this video. Although there are things wrong in the country right now, you have NO right to insult it. The country is poor and the government is sick. I don't see you insulting Africa! The people have no choice due even with the ability to vote. The current officials blackmail and intimidate people into voting for them. As much as I love Cambodia, the reality can never be denied. Wars, hunger, poverty all have shaped the current mind and heart of many Cambodians. Poverty and hunger drive to people to be more selfish and less compassionate about others. People regard each others as competitors. With the recent economic boom, disparity between the poors and riches is never bigger. Many people feel they are financially behind and willing to do anything to be ahead. There comes corruption at all levels.

I hate that word. It wasnt, it brought to much attention in S.E asia. Thats when lao, thailand, viet all came from southern china into Khmer soil. Afterwards they saw the sucess, the glory, the power, the tresures the Khmer Empire have and start looting and war. Therefore Kabojia move captial and change to buddishm for piece.

KHMER AND LAO don't like viet, I'm sure. Vietnam is a bad neighbore, even Thailand is also not a good neihbor either. These 2 neighbors are keep stealing khmer and lao territories. After all present time Thailand were used to be Khmer empire and the whole South Vietnam were belong to Cambodia. Shame on these 2 bully neighbors.
