Eric Szmanda Jorja Fox - Burma It Can't Wait Myanmar Cyclone
http://... Days for a Million VoicesThe issues the people of Burma/Myanmar are struggling with have been present for some time, since the military dictatorship took power and began a policy of isolationism, forced labor, systematic rape, politicalimprisonment, and destroying villages (creating more than 1 million refugees in the process.) On May 1, three days before the cyclone, the US Campaign for Burma, Human Rights Action Center and Fanista.com launched Burma: It Can't Wait - a campaign using celebrity voices like Will Ferrell, Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Silverman, and Eddie Izzard to shine a light on the junta's actions. I disagree. Sure maybe it promotes the actors comedians and singers, however it is an effective way to raise awareness. These people have a powerful influence over the media, therefore when the promote a cause, it effectively reaches a large audience, and ultimately contributes to the cause in some way. Even if it does promote the actors comedians and singers, then whatever, as long as it reaches the audience. Lets face it, any other random person, no one would necessarily listen to.

This shit doesn't work, no-one is going to do anything. It just promotes the actors comedians and singers. God it shits me, sign up for the red cross or salvation army. Propaganda awareness shit my ass. Angelina Jolie is doing something, even though i cant stand her, same with Bono. This just shits me, we feel sorry for 30 minutes and then forget.
