"Please use your liberty to promote ours."A quote by Daw Aung San Suu KyiBefore I became aware of the depths of what was going on, for decades, to our fellow human beings, in Burma, now named Myanmar, I had no idea it was as profound as it is. Burma is, without a doubt, a tragedy.Burma is a land where singing a song or reading a poem calling for democracy can lead to a long prison sentence. No doubt some people in Myanmar are in prison because they did something wrong, but in comparison to those sent there, for doing nothing, it's drastic and unspeakable. While in prison, if one is caught reading anything unauthorized or writing anything unauthorized, it can mean a possible 7 years added to a person's prison sentence. If you own or use a FAX machine, and it wasn't registered with the government, it can and has been enough reason to send a person to prison.Assistance Association for Political Prisonershttp://... Be positive!Just imagine: We can make a change!Don't wait for others to start, you go and just start. The price of a pint, so little money, but if 100 or 1000 people give such small amounts, then at least with this money some change can come. Then keep your eyes open, your minds, be verbal, speak about this world, because at the moment it is going wrong. Let's fix it. We CAN do it!!

I am Chinese, even I feel disgusted at such a regime. How could they shoot at monks!!!!!!!!!!!!You westerners all gave hope to Chinese government. However, to tell you the truth, China has done a lot , but the army won't listen now.

Strength in numbers is right. The people have to know there will be a lot of casualties, possibly more than the 3000 before. I wonder whether just marching is the key I don't know enough. Now it's started surely the people can't stop. They have a goal and support is with them. If I can say something to the monks and the people, keep at it, for yourselves. There is more of u than of them.
