The people who currently run Burma on this principle: if they are prepared to use enough unnecessary force - and do so - then they can rule forever.History - and historical truth - is a result of the actions of people. Are we going to allow this idea to become true - that dictators fall not because they are inherently wrong, but because they didn't kill and terrify enough people? Will that historical truth be the legacy we pass on to our children?
